Set against the stunning backdrop of the heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, the five-day spectacle was a must-see.

For the third consecutive year EPA’s GardenSafe program was at MIFGS.

GardenSafe is EPA’s free residential soil screening program. It tests for 8 potentially harmful trace elements such as arsenic and lead. The program also tests for two plant nutrients: phosphorous and potassium.

This year 50 show visitors dropped off their soil samples and our team spoke with over 1,300 prospective participants.

If you’d like to join them, Register online and send in 3 samples to EPA’s science unit. We’ll test them and provide a free report covering the quality your soil and the presence of trace elements. We’ll compare your soil to safe levels for human health and include approaches on what to do if any readings are abnormally high.
